E-invoicing in Morocco: get ready now
E-invoicing is not yet in place in Morocco, but it is being prepared. Here is what will change, what you can do today, and how SAMIFISC will connect you to it.
Are you looking for e-invoicing software in Morocco? Good anticipation: the Tax Authority (Direction Générale des Impôts) is preparing the dematerialization of invoices between businesses, as many countries have done. No platform is open at this time; the timetable and the technical rules will be set by the regulations. What is certain is that a business that already invoices in structured software will make the transition without difficulty.
PDF invoice, e-invoice: what is the difference?
A PDF invoice sent by e-mail is not an e-invoice in the tax sense: it is an image of a paper invoice. An e-invoice is a structured data file (seller, buyer, ICE, lines, VAT, totals) sent through a platform, which the tax authority can read automatically. It is this move from a document to a data file that calls for suitable software.
What you can do today
- Issue your invoices in software, with continuous numbering and all the Moroccan mandatory details (ICE, IF, RC, VAT by rate).
- Keep the ICE of your customers and suppliers up to date: it will be the identification key for e-invoices.
- Centralize your purchase invoices: with SAMIFISC, they are already read by AI and filed by client file.
- Link invoicing and accounting, so that collected and deductible VAT prepares itself.
How SAMIFISC will connect you
The SAMIFISC invoicing module already produces structured invoices: each field (third party, ICE, lines, rates, amounts) is a piece of data, not text in a PDF. As soon as the DGI system is open and its technical rules are published, SAMIFISC will connect to it to send and receive your e-invoices. You will not have to change tools.
And received invoices?
Today, your supplier invoices arrive on paper or as PDFs: our automatic AI accounting data entry reads them for you. Tomorrow, received e-invoices will be able to be imported directly, with no reading needed.

Book an appointmentIs e-invoicing already mandatory in Morocco?
No, not yet. The Tax Authority (Direction Générale des Impôts, DGI) is preparing the system; its timetable and rules will be set by the regulations. Until then, paper and PDF invoices remain valid.
Is SAMIFISC an approved e-invoicing software?
Not yet: no e-invoicing platform is open in Morocco at this time. SAMIFISC plans to connect to it as soon as it opens, under the rules that will be published.
What can I do right now?
Issue structured, numbered invoices in software rather than by hand or in a spreadsheet, check the ICE of your customers and suppliers, and keep all your purchase and sales invoices in one place.
Will my past invoices be carried over?
Invoices issued and received in SAMIFISC stay stored and viewable there; they will be the basis for your move to e-invoicing.
